Dr. Jean-Clément Diambilay is a Congolese economist, entrepreneur, investor, author, and business educator. He is the founder of the Diambilay Business Center, an international business incubator and accelerator created to help African entrepreneurs transform promising ideas into structured, sustainable, and investable companies. Trained in economics at the University of Lubumbashi, he later developed expertise in international taxation and value-added tax in Norway. From 2010 to 2013, he worked in the tax department of DNB Bank ASA, one of Norway’s leading financial institutions. This experience gave him direct exposure to formal financial systems, taxation, corporate organisation, and the operational standards of a major European institution. After returning to Africa, he became directly involved in entrepreneurship and investment. He founded and developed companies operating in commerce, finance, strategic consulting, mining, and technology. Through this experience, he acquired practical knowledge of the realities entrepreneurs face when attempting to build businesses in African markets: accessing capital, identifying viable opportunities, structuring operations, understanding local institutions, forming reliable partnerships, and converting available resources into sustainable economic value. In 2023, he founded the Diambilay Business Center in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo. DBC was established around a central conviction: powerful ideas require strong structures if they are to become lasting businesses. The organisation supports entrepreneurs through incubation, business training, mentorship, strategic guidance, project development, and access to financing opportunities. It has since developed an international presence connecting entrepreneurs and members of the African diaspora across Africa and Europe. Through DBC, Dr. Diambilay has contributed to the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that brings together project leaders, investors, executives, institutions, mentors, and specialists. His objective is not merely to encourage people to become entrepreneurs, but to help them build companies that are properly organised, economically relevant, financially credible, and capable of attracting partners and investment. He is also the initiator of Richesses d’Afrique, an international platform that connects African entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and members of the diaspora. Through forums, masterclasses, incubation programmes, and digital education, Richesses d’Afrique promotes a different vision of the continent: Africa not only as a source of natural resources, but as a source of talent, innovation, businesses, and investable opportunities. Its programmes are designed to help participants understand local markets, avoid common mistakes, structure their projects, and move from intention to execution. His entrepreneurial expertise covers mining, real estate, public procurement, investment, business development, and project structuring. These fields require more than theoretical knowledge. They demand an understanding of regulation, risk, financing, negotiation, institutional relationships, operational discipline, and the realities of working within emerging markets. His teaching is therefore grounded in practical experience and in the conditions entrepreneurs and investors encounter on the ground. Dr. Diambilay is also the author of more than thirty books addressing entrepreneurship, leadership, financial independence, personal development, and faith. His work connects economic ambition with discipline, ethics, responsibility, and long-term impact. He teaches that prosperity should not be reduced to personal accumulation, but should contribute to the creation of businesses, employment, opportunities, and sustainable value for communities.
